Long before VACO HOUSE opened its doors in 2025, our story was already being written around family tables. In Venezuela, weekends meant handmade empanadas, crispy pastelitos, and arepas prepared the way our families had made them for generations. Those flavors remind us of school mornings, the high school cafeteria, and the meals that brought friends and family together.
In Colombia, every morning begins with another tradition: a great cup of Colombian coffee. A Colombian morning simply doesn't feel complete without a tinto. That daily ritual became just as important to our story as the food itself.

Absolutely thrilled to have them in the neighborhood. The food is always fresh and delicious. I can’t get enough of their iced coffees- they’re not overly sweet and the cold foams are amazing. Their Austin special coffees have been so fun to try- the UT with the orange zest is a must try! Aside from the food and drinks, their customer service is second-to-none. Everyone is so kind and friendly! :)

I live in the neighborhood, so I come to Vaco House often! it's quickly become one of my favorite spots nearby. Everything I've tried is delicious: from their matcha and coffee drinks to their bowls, arepas, and empanadas. their empanadas in particular are incredible—perfectly crunchy on the outside and full of flavor. My favorite is the Vaco blue. I'm also obsessed with their corn sauce. Can't wait to keep coming back and try everything on the menu. :)

I had a special pork with pineapple glaze arepa. Man! One of the best I’ve had in the States. The staff were really helpful and carefully explained the long list of specials and unique toppings, specialty coffee drinks and options. Great vibe. We took away to eat at home. They were really great with the vegan members of our party.
